As the Associate Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will collaboratively contribute to the team’s initiatives with the support and guidance of your team members.
Technologies you have experience with :
- Java – Foundational understanding of object‑oriented programming, data structures, exception handling, and writing clean, maintainable code suitable for junior‑level development.
- Guidewire – Basic knowledge of Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter) with an interest in learning GOSU scripting, configuration, and integration work.
- Selenium – Exposure to UI automation concepts and ability to build simple test scripts using Selenium WebDriver; familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit is an asset.
- Bitbucket / Git – Understanding of version control fundamentals, including branching, merging, pull requests, and collaborative code review workflows.
- PowerApps – Ability to build simple low‑code applications, forms, and workflows within Microsoft Power Platform; familiarity with Power Automate is beneficial.
- PowerScript (PowerShell) – Basic scripting skills to automate routine system tasks, support operations, and streamline internal processes.
How you will create impact :
Supporting the team in various responsibilities including estimating assigned tasks, completing status reports, and creating and maintaining technical documentation.Participating in the design and execution of program coding to implement features of small to medium complexity.Contributing to an implementation and back-out plan for a single system.Assisting with unit testing for developed code, verifying functionalities and supporting system and user acceptance testing.Learning relevant Information Technology (IT) standards, methodologies, processes and tools and contributing to project reviews.To join our team :
You have 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.How you will succeed :

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to : local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
