Community Support Worker (CSW)

V's enjoys doing crafts, listening to music and joining friends on various Zooms. She appreciates people who know sign language or who are willing to learn (she is an excellent teacher). As a self-advocate she is very independent and works well with a team that empowers her to be her vibrant, healthy self.

This assignment is Temporary to cover a Maternity Leave for 12 months; possibly up to 18 months.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals
• Light housekeeping, cleaning and laundry
• Encourage physical activities such as going for walks, yoga, dance, etc.
• Assist with crafts
• Support V to stay in touch with friends & family via Zoom, cards, phone calls and visits

CSW : $23.50 / hour to $25.75 / hour

Preferred Training or Experience

Sign Language is an asset. Training is provided.

Specific Training or Experience Required

Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.; Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)

Expected Hours of Work

Monday 9am to Tuesday 9am (14 Hours CSW and 10 Asleep Overnight)

Monday 9 : 00am-9 : 30pm + 9 : 30pm-7 : 30am Asleep Overnight into Tuesday

Tuesday : 7 : 30am-9 : 00am
