Candidates with special interests in neuroimaging methods and sensorimotor development are encouraged to apply. The study will involve behavioural measures (video, kinematic analyses using markerless pose estimates) and brain imaging using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).

The candidate will conduct research at TRU in the new, state of the art Child Development Research Lab and in the Brain and Behaviour psychology lab.

Responsibilities :

The position will involve study protocol design, participant recruitment, data collection, data analyses, and dissemination (manuscript preparation, preparing and publishing datasets on open-source repositories, conference presentations).

The candidate will work closely with the PIs and alongside graduate research students from the Masters in Data Science program.

The candidate will also train and co-supervise undergraduate psychology students working on the project. Opportunities for teaching may also be available if this is of interest to the successful candidate.
