Make an impact with our Legal & Risk Management team as Legal Counsel. This diverse team of professionals provides legal expertise to support the success of our operations across a broad range of practice areas. As a trusted advisor, you’ll apply your understanding of the legislative landscape to proactively explore and mitigate risk and ensure firmwide compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business units to provide counsel and support in a broad range of practice areas
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice to various department heads and executives
  • Identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations and develop practical solutions in an efficient and timely manner
  • Work closely with MNP’s practitioners to proactively identify and manage legal risk
  • Work closely with outside counsel and manage all stages of litigation
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of corporate policies
  • Draft concise emails and legal documents
  • Develop working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively with outside counsel
  • Write briefs on regulations, legal / compliance matters and other ad hoc legal issues to defend legal position and provide guidance to team
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Raise awareness of MNP at community events

Skills and Experience

  • 2 to 4 years post-call experience
  • Demonstrated ability to identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations and develop practical solutions
  • Customer service driven
