At Ford’s Oakville Assembly Complex, we are expanding and retooling our vehicle operations. Tool and Die Makers are paid a top hourly base rate of $53.00 per hour plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums.

Responsibilities

• Directly influencing the precision, quality, and efficiency of our world-class vehicles
• Adhere to all health and safety rules in compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards
• Maintain equipment and dies in a safe and efficient manner
• Apply exceptional craftsmanship and problem-solving skills
• Effectively maintain and troubleshoot critical tooling and dies
• Proactively collaborate with team members to anticipate and resolve complex challenges to ensure seamless production processes
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic excellence
• Participate in the training of Tool & Die Maker apprentices as required
• Coordinate die repair and preventative maintenance scheduling to meet job deadlines
• Generate and implement cost savings and process improvement suggestions
• Participate in problem-solving meetings to help eliminate downtime
• Accurately enter data into the maintenance tracking system, tracking time and details for follow-up and root cause analysis
• Assist other trades / operators as required
