Database Administrator (DBA / SQL)
The Database Administrator (DBA / SQL) will manage and support a corporate SQL database environment in addition to managing and executing software implementations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for administering SQL servers including installations, configuration, monitoring, reporting and backups to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Responsible for administering / managing application and testing environments including related software to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Configure and administer data integrations for corporate applications with SQL databases
- Provide advanced technical expertise as a point of escalation for Client Services and Application Development to diagnose and resolve problems as they relate to database environments
- Report on operations and system improvements through the proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of corporate applications
- Assist the Application Development team by performing application / database testing
- Deploy changes to testing and production environments using change management / release management policies and procedures
- Manage installations, patching and monitoring of development, test and production application environments
- Responsible for application catalog and maintain all implementation plans, implementation manuals and other essential technical documentation as per department standards
- Ensure corporate data is secured in accordance with IT security policies
