Responsibilities
- Help clients complete their tax returns using Intuit TurboTax products, providing tax guidance, reviewing personally prepared returns, preparing full-service returns, and managing product / software inquiries.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to research and provide accurate answers to clients in understandable terms.
- Operate a virtual, customer-facing role using state‑of‑the‑art video communication software, documenting all interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and file personal tax returns with complex elements such as employment, self‑employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- Provide exceptional customer service via video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Work a flexible schedule, minimum 20 hours per week.
- Communicate effectively in English; interact with clients across Canada, many of whom are English‑only speaking.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of paid professional tax preparation experience.Experience preparing personal tax returns with complex elements as listed above.CRA RepID (representative identifier) available for use of Represent a Client service.Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.Knowledge of tax laws and ongoing learning.Additional Qualifications
Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) returns.Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) returns.Skills & Abilities
Tax expertise – fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts, ability to seek additional learning.Effective communication – strong written and verbal skills, active listening, empathy.Complex problem solving – ownership, escalation, timely support.Research & resourcefulness – pursuit of continuous learning, procedure following.Technical acumen – willingness to learn tools, basic troubleshooting ability.Compensation & Benefits
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. Expected base pay range : PEI $24.50 / hour - $33.50 / hour; BC $24.50 / hour - $33.50 / hour; Nova Scotia $24.50 / hour - $33.50 / hour. Position eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits per applicable plans. Pay is based on job knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
