Position Summary :
Reporting to the Construction Managerand the Architectural Technologist,theCabinet Designerwillguidetheclients andhomeownersthrough theinteriorfinishesselectionandcabinetdesign process, and complete thedrawings, designconcept,andcut lists within a set deadline.This role is an integralcomponentof Salvi Group's delivery of quality unique homesandcreatesexcellent customer experience.
Responsibilities :
Present for interior selection meetingsto guide the clients and homeowners incabinetry designandachieve their desired home design.Guide theclients andhomeowners tochoose theappropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each design.UseMozaiksoftware to create detailedcustom kitchen cabinet plansand 3D models ofcabinetry designsincludingcabinet editing and shaping.Createtheassembly sheet for each job, this includes creating cut lists and codes so that each job is ready to be completed on the CNC.Taking meeting notes from design meetingsto createthefinishing schedule.Work closely withthe shopto ensure theaccurateproduction of designs.Provide cost estimates and timelines to clients and homeowners.Performsite measures for cabinetry.Work closely with the shop to resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the design or production process.Liaise with suppliers to ensure products displayed inthedesigncentreare current andaccurateMaintain communication with thesupplierstomaintainprice sheetsOther tasks as assigned.Requirements :
Must be certified in Computer Assisted Design or a post-secondarydegree ordiplomain interior design.Working knowledgeofbuilding codes, materials,and furnishings.Experience withMozaikSoftwareincluding the 3D visualization toolan asset.Excellent computer skills,andexperience with Excel, Adobe,and Bluebeam would be an assetStrong customer service skillsSelf-motivatedanddetail-orientedHighly organized, and able tohandle multiplepriorities anddeadlines.Strongwritten and verbal communication skillstoeffectivelycommunicate with clients and team members.Willingness to work as a team player with collaborative decision-making processes.Willingness to visit job sites, suppliers,and vendors sitesas needed.Working Conditions :
Hours of work : Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm with1 hourunpaid lunch break.May have to work around client schedules.May have to work long hours to oversee the work being completed on schedule.Travelling within the city, to suppliers, vendors and jobsitesmay berequired.Useof PPEon the job site isrequired.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to get to and from the office job sites.Overtime asrequired.
