Porter

As a member of the Environmental Services team the Porter will safely and efficiently transport patients equipment and miscellaneous items within the confines of the facilities buildings by various methods including by wheelchair stretcher or bed as directed.

This is what youll be doing :

• Follow all established procedures in accordance with the patient flow system
• Properly utilize hand-held technology
• Transport patients charts specimen pharmaceuticals and the required equipment to various treatment and diagnostic areas throughout the hospital in a safe and efficient manner
• Transport of soiled linen waste and recycling as needed
• Collect and clean equipment as necessary
• Assist with facility transport activities as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Status : Temporary Part-time (Approx. 6 months)

Hours :   Monday to Sunday; Various rotating 7.5 hour shifts. Days and Evenings; 8am-4pm 9am-5pm 10am-6pm 12pm-8pm 4pm-12am 5pm-1am;  (Hours may be subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary :  $26.50 to $27.010 per hour
