HR and Events Coordinator @ Zeifmans

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manages allocated projects or assignments, including financial management
- Supervises a team of staff to ensure compliance with prescribed qualitative and quantitative standards
- Develops the capabilities of less experienced staff through coaching, knowledge transfer, and internal training
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities with existing clients
- Manages material of the highest complexity in areas such as audit, review, notice to readers, and tax
- Maintains quality control standards throughout assignments or projects
- Applies specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client’s business
- Focuses resources and provides team leadership
- Responds effectively to client requests and suggestions relating to an assignment
- Demonstrates an ability to keep current on new developments in the profession
- Promotes the firm’s image as business consultants and communicates our brand
- Develops effective working level relationships with client contacts
Summary of Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Completion of a university accounting degree
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Thorough understanding of the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Strong tax knowledge
- Experience leading and coaching a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients
- Strong file management skills and organization, able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Quickbooks, Caseware, Jazz‑it, Tax Prep and Simply Accounting
