Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments with precision and efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and digital imaging systems while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records by accurately documenting medical history, treatment plans, and procedural notes within cleardent Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, suctioning, and ensuring smooth workflow during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized medical documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures to ensure a welcoming environment for young patients. Skills Proficiency in Cleardent for efficient medical documentation and record management. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Experience with dental imaging technologies including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis. Familiarity with dental terminology across various specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient care flow. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and pediatrics to facilitate effective communication with patients and team members. Skills in managing medical coding for billing purposes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy standards.
