Health & Safety Advisor

What you’ll do :

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety programs across our 8 locations. This role ensures compliance with applicable legislation while promoting a safety culture for all employees, customers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health & safety programs across all operational areas.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments for all commodities.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, legislation, and internal policies.
• Coordinates and facilitates specialized health and safety training needs for employees.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively with Division and Department management to implement continuous improvements, acting as a resource and advisor on all matters related to health and safety.
• Provide guidance and direction on accommodation programs.
• Monitors and ensures that applicable departments are compliant with National Safety Code legislation.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and participate in inspections when required.
