Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.
We are looking for an energetic and results oriented Leasing Representative to join our team in the Cambridge area on a full-time basis. This position would be ideal for someone with strong customer service experience. Responsibilities:
•Field all leasing communication by phone, email and in person;
•Perform showings of suites and tours of properties;
•Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale;
•Assist with administrative duties;
•Manage electronic advertisements;
•Process applications and lease signings;
•Perform bi-weekly market surveys;
•Utilize Yardi Customer Relationship Software in day to day leasing functions;
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, or experience in the property management and/or real estate industry;
•1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service;
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
•Previous experience posting ads on Kijiji, and familiarity with Yardi is considered an asset;
•Must be flexible and able to work evenings/weekends; and,
•Must be willing to travel between properties for showings. Mileage is compensated on a per KM rate.
