Position Overview
As the Quality Control Manager, you will lead our Quality team to ensure regulatory, food safety, and quality compliance across our operations. The role reports to the Director of Operations and oversees team members responsible for six sites across Prince Edward Island. This role plays a crucial part in driving continuous improvement in quality, food safety, and operational efficiency (including process streamlining and productivity) across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the Quality team
- Oversee performance evaluations, competency development, and succession planning
- Support onboarding, communication, and project delegation
Quality Systems Strategy & Compliance
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with CFIA, GFSI, and other applicable standardsManage non-conformities, complaints, and corrective action processesOversee supplier approvals and performance monitoringMonitor evolving food safety standards and regulatory requirementsAnalyze trends and advise leadership on risk mitigation strategiesCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams to embed quality and food safety requirements into product developmentAct as a key resource for customer-facing and administrative quality needsSystems & Process Improvement
Lead digital transformation initiatives within the Quality functionOptimize SOPs, document control, and reporting systemsManage budgets, project assignments, and team decision‑makingCoordinate onboarding and internship programsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or related fieldMinimum five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the dairy or food industryStrong working knowledge of quality assurance programs such as GMP and HACCPStrong leadership and team management skills, along with a sustained commitment to team developmentKnowledge of change management and Lean Manufacturing tools and methodsProven project management skillsProficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and statistical softwareStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projectsDetail‑oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently with multiple stakeholdersCompensation and Benefits
