Position Overview:
The Supervisor – Parts Distribution Center is responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving warehouse and distribution operations at ADC, with a strong focus on logistics planning, process optimization, and performance analysis. This role ensures operational efficiency, team productivity, and inventory accuracy by leveraging data mining, SQL-based analysis, and advanced reporting tools. The supervisor will play a key role in driving strategic improvements and supporting decision-making through actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis & Optimization:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current logistics workflows using SQL tools and Excel-based data mining.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and performance gaps, and propose actionable solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
Strategic Planning & KPI Management:
- Develop and execute logistics operation plans based on data insights.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain dashboards, and deliver structured performance reports using advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Main KPIs:
- Productivity management and manpower planning.
- Monitoring and improving operational efficiency by analyzing output levels, identifying performance gaps, and implementing strategies.
- Forecasting and allocating workforce resources effectively to meet operational demands.
- Dealer Claim Metrics.
- `Includes claim ratio, total claim amount, and lead time for claim resolution and judgment.
- Inventory Accuracy Rate:
- Degree of alignment between physical inventory and system-recorded inventory.
- Transportation Management (Receiving/Shipping Planning):
- Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics by planning shipment schedules, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery and receipt of goods.
- Inbound/Outbound Process Time Compliance Rate.
- Percentage of shipments processed within the standard time frame for receiving and shipping operations.
- Warehouse Space Utilization Efficiency.
- Assessment of whether the available storage area is being optimized for maximum operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement & SOP Development:
- Lead process improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Standardize best practices through SOP development and support internal audits and compliance programs.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel in accordance with company policies and performance standards.
- Conduct regular shift briefings, communicate objectives, and ensure staff alignment with daily and weekly goals.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics planning, operations strategy, or process improvement in warehouse/distribution environments as a supervisor.
- Strong skills in data mining, SQL, and operational analysis.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, macros) and PowerPoint reporting.
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, fast-growing environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or Mathematics is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
- Experience in automotive, aftersales parts industries.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
