Overview

THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD is seeking applicants for Classroom Support for the 2025-2026 School Year. Locations : All. Successful applicants may indicate school preferences. Schedules : On call basis, no guaranteed hours; dependent on school needs. Current school year only. Education required : Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in a related field incl. Autism or Behaviour Science Courses / Program, Educational Assistant Courses / Program, Early Learning Courses / Program, Teaching Program.

Summary

Assist teacher, educational support personnel and early childhood educators in classroom to help maintain a safe, caring, respectful learning environment. Follow lesson plans / instructions; provide supervision as assigned.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Post‑secondary education in a related field
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in a classroom setting or similar
• Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks and assist with personal care when required
• Ability to remain calm and non‑confrontational under pressure
• Current BMS Training Certificate would be an asset
• Current First Aid Certificate would be an asset
