Job Responsibilities
- Follows departmental policies, plans and procedures.
- General cleanup and debris removal.
- Helps crew operations with carrying out the requested work according to requirements.
- Loads or unloads materials to be used.
- Handles and transports materials.
- Follows work request plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Sets up and takes down equipment for various programs, prepares facilities for programmed use.
- Lifts, pushes, and swings equipment.
- Helps with setup and take down of equipment for various programs, prepares facilities for programed use.
- Work areas are assigned by the client over a large geographic region. Frequent travel will be expected.
- Helps to maintain work area, storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes good safety practices and in compliance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D, preferred.
- Class 5 drivers' license.
- Ability to work in various areas within Manitoba.
- Previous experience working in related field.
- Valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
- Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks.
- Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and adapt to change.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge and understanding of OH & S rules and guidelines.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to work outside in a challenging environment.
