Job Purpose :
The Supply & Facilities team is responsible for maximizing the crude oil & condensate production volumes shipped through SECURE’s terminals & pipelines and the commercial optimization of these assets. Reporting to the Senior Supply Representative, this position will be responsible for supporting the group's commercial activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :
- Provide assistance in the development of new commercial opportunities (Identification of new production sources, competing transportation economics, & optimization upsides)
- Provide assistance in the maintenance of optimization models related to Secure Facilities & 3rd party Operators.
- Maintain files relating to Volume tracking, Pricing, Quality Equalization, Pipeline Tariffs, & Trucking Costs.
- Maintain facility contact distribution lists.
- Liaise with the Scheduling group in monthly volume verifications and apportionment management.
- Liaise with the Risk Management / Contracts group in the creation of new contracts / updating of current contracts.
- Assist the Marketing Accounting group in the monthly settlement process (checking prices, qualities, volumes, tariffs, trucking invoices, etc.).
- Participate in monthly financial performance reviews and assist in variance explanations (Accruals & Actuals vs. Forecast).
- Participate in the development & maintenance of weekly & monthly reports relating to the performance of the business.
- Providing support and direction for other divisional groups and fostering a one-team culture amongst operational teams.
- Assist with other projects as required.
Qualifications / Competencies
The individual in this role will have :
3-5 years of experience in an Oil Marketing function would be beneficial (Scheduling / Oil Pricing / Marketing Accounting)A university or college degree in business or economics is preferred.Ability to work in a high-energy, results-focused, open-concept environment.High attention to detail with excellent planning, communication & organization skillsStrong analytic and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines are essential.Strong customer contact skills with proven professionalismA positive, self-motivated, and energetic team player attitude with a willingness to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
