Job Title: Business Development Representative




Job Overview: Our client, a trusted market leader in information technology is seeking a sales-focused, high-energy Business Development Representative to join their growing team. This role is key to the sales team and focuses on prospecting, discovering, and qualifying opportunities with potential clients. The representative will be responsible for delivering a steady flow of leads and introductory meetings for the company's managed services, cloud, and cybersecurity portfolio. This is an opportunity for a passionate professional to join a dynamic environment that supports career development and offers a path for advancement.







Location: Toronto (ON). This is a permanent and full-time position with 2-3 days/week in-office when required




Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects based on their requirements and how well they fit into the Company's Ideal Customer Profile.



  • Perform telephone and/or other prospecting activities as initial outreach tactics to solicit new business opportunities.



  • Actively participate in company-driven activities: marketing initiatives, social media, and networking campaigns to promote new business.



  • Determine the interest of the prospect and follow up on all conversations and opportunities.



  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer to schedule qualified discovery meetings with members of the sales team.



  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement strategic activities and create opportunities.



Qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalency.



  • Bilingual proficiency in English, written and spoken.



  • Possess a minimum of 1-3 years of successful B2B sales experience in the MSP space.



  • Strong telephone and prospecting skills: ability to listen well, engage in conversation and communicate the value that technology services can bring to an organization.



  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, CRM, and messaging tools.



  • Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks and follow up activities.



  • Autonomous, creative, enthusiastic and driven to succeed.



  • Operational proficiency with IT-related technologies with an aptitude to associate the customer's business pain to our value-added services.



  • Proven track record for achieving and exceeding objectives.



  • Possess intermediate-to advanced skills and knowledge of standard office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).



  • Motivated self-starter with the desire for advancement to an outside sales role within our organization.

Compensation Transparency

The expected compensation range for this role is $90,000 – $140,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Job Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Pre-Sales Technical Engineer to join their growing Services Division. This role focuses on work closely with the sales team to strategize on new business opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding of prospective client needs and industry-specific challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working within a MSP, VAR or Distributor, enabling the Sales to better close Services, in a traditional reseller model. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sales Engagement: Work closely with the sales team to strategize on new business opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding of prospective client needs and industry-specific challenges. Client Consultation: Directly engage with clients to assess their business requirements and technological pain points, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. Solution Design and Customization: Architect and customize solutions that uniquely address the needs of each client, emphasizing scalability and future growth. Dynamic Presentation and Demonstration: Skillfully prepare and present dynamic presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate the value and competitive edge of our solutions. Technical Sales Support: Provide comprehensive technical guidance during the sales cycle, responding to inquiries, resolving complex issues, and facilitating product evaluations. Relationship Management: Establish and nurture lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to foster long-term business growth. Market Intelligence: Continuously gather intelligence on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and technology innovations to enhance solution positioning and sales tactics. Sales Target Achievement: Actively assist the sales team in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and strategic business objectives. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in pre-sales, technical sales, or a similar role within the IT sector, ideally within an MSP or similar environment. Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of modern IT solutions, including cloud services, cybersecurity, enterprise software, and infrastructure technologies. Communication Mastery: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, adept at discussing complex technical details with both technical and executive audiences. Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain productive relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. Adaptability and Drive: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with a results-oriented mindset. Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail. CompTIA Certifications (Network+, Security+, Cloud+): These are foundational and vendor-neutral.
