Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. The role focuses on promoting and selling the company’s comprehensive Payroll and Workforce Management solutions through a consultative sales approach conducting needs assessments, delivering tailored demonstrations, and presenting customized solutions.

This role necessitates strong communication and negotiation skills, a solid understanding of the payroll industry, a proven record of exceeding sales targets, and a strategic focus on business development, client relationship management, partner development and market expansion.

POWER OUR SALES SUCCESS – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Grow our business - You’ll take the lead in identifying and developing new opportunities within the workforce management space, helping us expand our reach and market presence.
  • Understand and solve client needs - By taking a consultative approach, you’ll dive deep into each client’s challenges and deliver personalized product demonstrations and proposals that truly fit their goals.
  • Build meaningful relationships - You’ll nurture long-term partnerships through genuine communication, proactive follow-ups, and reliable support that ensures client success and satisfaction.
  • Work as one team - You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across sales support, implementation, and customer service to make every client handoff smooth and positive.
  • Achieve excellence through performance - You’ll focus on meeting and surpassing defined targets while maintaining precision in your sales reporting and pipeline management.
  • Stay curious and informed - You’ll keep a pulse on industry trends, competitors, and regulations, and represent our brand at events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • 3–5+ years of success in outside B2B sales, ideally in Payroll, HRMS, or Workforce Management solutions.
  • Fluency in both official languages (French/English), with the ability to communicate effectively to produce succinct explanation and correspondence in both languages.
  • A strong track record of hitting or surpassing sales targets and KPIs, especially those tied to revenue, conversion, and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a consultative, client-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage your pipeline independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Comfort and confidence working with CRM systems to track sales activities and maintain seamless client communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales support, implementation, and customer service, to ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the payroll industry.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote our brand and solutions.

The Account Executive has the option to work fully from the Payworks office in Montreal or on a hybrid work model, working in the office at least three (3) days a week. For individuals located outside of the Montreal area, the work arrangement will be determined in consultation with and approved by the Regional Sales Manager.
