Job Overview

ECI has an immediate opening for a Senior Substation Engineer in the Ontario, CA office. This position will be responsible for configuring and producing engineering drawings for installation and commissioning of electro‑mechanical and micro‑processor protection relay systems in high‑voltage substations.

Responsibilities

Configure and produce engineering drawings for installation and commissioning of electro‑mechanical and micro‑processor protection relay systems in high‑voltage substations.

Produce one‑line, three‑line, schematic, and wiring diagrams for high‑voltage substation projects.

Support design teams during conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects ranging from 4.16 kV to 500 kV.

Diligently educate and train less‑experienced staff.

Occasional travel as required.

Qualifications

BSEE or MSEE required.

5+ years of experience specifying, configuring, and producing engineering drawings for high‑voltage substation protection relay systems.

Extensive background in power system protection and control.

Proven experience managing a team.

Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.

Subject to client‑mandated drug and background checking.

Must meet ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements and employer sponsorship restrictions.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range : $125,000 – $189,000 annually (salary commensurate with experience and education).
