Prep & Priming Technician

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Prep & Priming Technician to join our Production this role youll play a critical part in preparing our steel components for coating - with a strong focus on sandblasting to ensure a clean consistent surface that meets HERDs high quality standards.

Position : Prep & Priming Technician

Location : 2168 Springfield Road (no bus routes)

Role Type : Full-time Evening Shift : Monday to Friday 3 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Starting Wage : $17.00 / hour $1 Premium

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare steel components for coating through cleaning and sandblasting .
• Apply black primer to brackets hardware and other parts with consistent coverage.
• Maintain spray guns and blasting equipment according to SOPs.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure coating quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify maintenance as needed.
• Track coating parameters and production data accurately.
• Follow all safety protocols including proper PPE and hazardous materials handling.
• Support 5S continuous improvement and team development initiatives.
