Technical Recruiter

The Opportunity

The recruiting team at Moment Energy is finding talent that will help us with our mission to enable all retired EV batteries to be repurposed by 2030, to provide worldwide access to clean, affordable, and reliable power! This role partners closely with the engineering team and leadership to identify and attract exceptional candidates. Our recruiting team supports mechanical, electrical, power electronics firmware, software development, and battery engineering teams. We are looking for someone with a strong technical aptitude, exceptional verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.

• Location: In-person, Moment Energy Coquitlam Office

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop robust candidate pipelines with top engineers, especially passive candidates with industry experience.
• Support with interviewing candidates for Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software Development and Battery teams.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of hiring needs for each engineering role, meeting with engineering leads frequently to adjust sourcing as needed.
• Focus on providing a positive candidate experience at every opportunity with frequent touch points to ensure excellent communication.
• Improve recruiting process consistency, speed, and quality.

The Candidate

We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:

• 2 years of technical recruiting experience with a track record of hiring top-tier engineers.
• High preference for candidates with an education in engineering.
• Experience at an early-stage, high-growth company, ideally in manufacturing environments.
• Success recruiting for electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing roles.
• Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and other hiring/ATS platforms.
• Strong technical acumen; you can quickly understand and communicate complex engineering roles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with both candidates and hiring teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a recruiting team.
