The Ministry of Community Safety, Community Corrections is seeking a talented and innovative individual to provide leadership and strategic direction for the Community Corrections Electronic Monitoring Program and its services. As the Director of Operations for the Electronic Monitoring Program, your leadership will encompass Community Corrections programs and services with respect to youth and adult offenders and would include strategic direction, policy, standards and operational management.
Reporting to the Director of the Electronic Monitoring Program, you will plan, develop and monitor community programs and services that support and promote community safety planning aimed at reducing offending. Working with Offender Services, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Ministry’s Case-Management framework and rehabilitative programs. As a key member of the management team, you will participate in policy and program development.
Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of youth and adult evidence-based offender programs, legislation, policies, and standards, with particular emphasis on community corrections programs, as well as strategic planning, program development and government decision-making processes. You will understand and be responsive to First Nations cultural and spiritual practices. You will have a track record of accomplishments through partnerships and effective leadership in a complex environment.

Typically, candidates will possess a Bachelor of Social Work, Human Justice or related post-secondary degree, combined with extensive programming, budgeting and leadership experience.
