Payroll Manager

Job #4668 – Incredible opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a well-respected organization on a full-time basis! Reporting to the Director of Finance, the selected incumbent will be tasked with the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll while managing and mentoring the payroll team. The ideal candidate is an experienced manager who is able to naturally find ways to improve processes while working closely with their team. Main responsibilities include :

• Manage bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate deductions and compliance with applicable regulations
• Provide guidance and supervision to payroll staff, conduct performance reviews and develop workload, priorities and goals and provide ongoing feedback
• Ensure payroll system accuracy and implement applicable controls and audits, assist with any system upgrades or modifications
• Act as point of contact for payroll related employee inquiries
• Prepare monthly payroll and pension plan remittances and reconcile to general ledger
• Responsible for auditing, balancing and submitting all payroll related government payments and reporting
• Prepare fiscal accruals and ensure salary, pension and group benefit data is accurate and in accordance with obligations
• Support multiple annual audits and participate in internal and external committees
• Other duties as required

Qualifications :

The main qualifications for this role include :

• PCP or CPM designation is mandatory
• 5+ years previous experience, including time in a supervisory role
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

Compensation :

• $106,000 – $126,000 annual salary
