Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Fitter / Welder to join our team. This on-site role is based at our Welland, ON facility. The candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting metal components, assembling structures, and performing welding to create high-quality steel fabrications. Additional duties may include inspecting finished welds for quality assurance and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Strong welding skills in various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Experience with measurement tools, cutting, and fitting of structural steel components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble and fabricate metal structures
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and safe handling of welding equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing is an asset
• Relevant certifications in welding or metal fabrication are highly desirable
