Student, Technology Strategic Initiatives (Fall 2024)

About the Role

The corporate IT, Technology strategic initiatives team is looking for a student full-time for the Fall 2024 co-op term.

The student’s primary responsibilities will be focused on proactively and holistically supports strategic activities that strategically guide business and operating models, people, processes, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Together with other team members, enable business outcomes across Operating Businesses by introducing and implementing new innovative technologies and practices.
• Implement innovation investments with corporate strategy, focusing on operational excellence and digital transformation.
• Work under the guidance of IT Compliance to request and evaluate evidence assessing completeness and accuracy to Corporate policies and standards
• Under the guidance of IT Compliance review and assess ITGC and Application control per internal and external auditor’s request.
• Work with innovation team to implement innovation concepts to the business.
• Implement and enable new technologies and ideas to determine their potential to grow our various businesses.
• Support creating executive level reports that are consumable by non-IT resources.
• Work on any enterprise-scale deliverables identified by Innovation architects.

Knowledge Required

• Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program;
• Completed 2nd year university or college studies in Computer Science or IT Security;
• A good understanding of formal change management processes;
• IT Cloud experience;
• Advanced Excel experience;
• AWS Data analytics would be considered an asset.

Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively.

We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
