Job Details

Status : Full-time, Permanent

Location : Kelowna, Hardy

Pay Range : $45,000-$55,000 per year

Job Summary

The Claims Advisor acts as an ambassador for Acera clients who have experienced a personal or business loss. Team members work collaboratively with clients and insurance companies to help simplify the claims process and exceed client’s expectations by helping to remove anxiety and settles claims quickly. This role is responsible for providing client centered support at the time of a claim; documenting new claims, reporting, resolving clients concerns and monitoring activities while keeping communication open with the all parties involved.

Essential Job Functions :

Delivers a service to clients and team members with empathy and confidence

Monitoring the Acera claims inbox and providing follow up calls to clients

Identifies claim issues and assists the client to resolve the issues

Keeping open activities current

Learns about new coverage’s and policies that are in the market to remain an expert

Monitors client satisfaction through maintaining positive relationships

Completing monthly claim reports

Various other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Soft Skill Requirements :

Holds a general insurance license, Level 2 or CAIB designation

Supports a climate in which teams want to do their best

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills; must be empathetic, friendly, clear and strong speaker

Enjoy helping people with an optimistic attitude

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Well organized ability to prioritize and make decisions on your own

Adaptable to working effectively as a team or independently with the ability to adjust to tight and changing priorities and deadlines.

Self-guided learner & solves problems with real solutions

Skilled user of Microsoft office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
