The TRU Legal Clinic Society was incorporated with TRU as the sole Member. It is the legal entity whose purpose is to provide legal assistance through the TRU Community Legal Clinic (TRU CLC).
TRU CLC is mandated to provide legal services to low income clients as well as opportunities for practical learning for students from the TRU Faculty of Law. This work includes client case files community outreach and public legal education.
The Full-Time Supervising Lawyer is responsible for training and supervising student clinicians providing litigation support to student clinicians and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the TRU CLC in conjunction with other Clinic staff.
The Full-Time Supervising Lawyer works with the Clinic staff under the direction of the Executive Director to supervise student clinicians in their provision of legal assistance to clients which may include:

This position requires an individual who: (1) has a LLB or a JD from a Canadian law school or from a law school in another common law country; (2) is a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia or elsewhere in Canada; and (3) who demonstrates the following attributes:
