Regional Manager

Our Regional Managers develop people while obtaining results. To be a successful Regional Manager, you must be a motivator and mentor, someone who can guide your team and participate in their developmental success.
The employees on your team will vary based on the geography and complexity of the region you support. Most of all, you will inspire a team of great people throughout the area who are committed to creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee a region of 5 - 8 locations.
Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate key responsibilities and practices to store teams to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Review store environments and key business indicators to identify opportunities and concerns for improvement to provide coaching to the team to act and achieve operational goals.
Implement plans to support the execution of regional and company initiatives to achieve operational excellence and business results.
Follow up consistently to ensure accountability to plans.
Continuously improve the sales success of the sites throughout the year while maximizing all revenue-enhancing opportunities.
Coach staff to develop and optimize all their sales opportunities to consistently meet sales targets.
Ongoing coaching and training to improve your teams with the intent to promote the organization through community and B2B involvement.
Connect with businesses in the community via Chamber and Board of Trade events.
Ensuring administrative functions are performed efficiently by supervising and leading your team of 16-20 staff across multiple locations.
Keep abreast of the current and future competition in the market through regular competitor property visits.
Lease storage space to meet client requirements.
Promote and sell packing and moving supplies.
Provide ongoing assistance to clients in their use of storage spaces.
Regularly monitor the property and rental units while ensuring the property remains clean and accessible.
Update client accounts, receive payments, and conduct move-out inspections.
Collect and prepare information for daily reports.
Requirements
5-7 years of experience in sales / operations management and training in retail sales and customer service.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills in person and on the phone.
The ability to use positive language while building relationships with new clients.
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, keyboarding and internet savvy).
Strong coaching and motivating skills.
Ability to lead in a team environment.
Proven outstanding sales and customer service skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to remain composed during stressful situations.
Have an inherent desire to succeed and be consistently reliable.
A valid driver’s license and daily access to a reliable vehicle.
Travel between locations will be required.
