Injection Mold Designer

Location : Concord, ON

Compensation : $80,000 - $95,000

We're looking for an Injection Mold Designer to join our Client's dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will design complex and non-routine molds, fixtures, and components from part drawings and technical data.

This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities :

• Design & Development : Design complex molds, fixtures, and components, including advanced tooling with hidden parting lines, conventional fascias, rockers, claddings, and wheel flares.
• Project Management : Manage all aspects of single-tool design projects, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with program objectives and schedules.
• Technical Analysis : Conduct detailed part feasibility studies, review designs for accuracy and quality, and make recommendations for improvements related to cooling, material condition, and proper draft.
• Collaboration & Mentoring : Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, machining, build, and management) to confirm design concepts and provide technical mentoring to junior designers.
• Engineering Changes : Manage engineering changes by preparing and issuing design files and providing timing feedback to assist with production scheduling.
