About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, Mental Health & Addictions, the incumbent will work with inpatient units to provide Occupational Therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary treatment plan and consistent with the principles of recovery

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
  • Registered member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
  • Experience in developing and providing group and individual psychoeducation
  • Demonstrated skills in completing functional assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to build client capacity to promote occupational performance
  • Evidence of ability to work independently, with a multidisciplinary team as well as with both hospital and community based services / agencies.
  • Demonstrated use of innovative problem solving and application of evidence based practice to patient services.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Full Time Long Assignment; 75 Hours Bi Weekly

    33.31 - $42.89 hourly

    Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
