Summary
The Automation Technician’s role is to install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems, including robotics and control systems, to ensure safe, efficient and reliable production equipment and operations.

Job Duties
Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated production equipment to prevent failuresRepair and replace faulty components, including sensors, servo motors, and pneumatic partsConduct preventative maintenance, such as upgrading and calibrating machines to extend their lifespan and efficiencyAddress equipment failures and troubleshoot problems under pressure to minimize downtimeIntegrate continuous improvement projects through automation designing, building and programmingVerify that new automated systems and production lines are functioning correctlyCollaborate with engineers on system design and improvementsRequirements
University Degree / College Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience1-3 years related experience in an automotive / manufacturing industrySkills in industrial robot programming, PLC programming, machine visionAbility to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writingAbility to multi‑task and establish prioritiesExhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipAble to create alternative solutions to problemsExcellent time management and project management skillsHigh level of sound and independent judgment and reasoningHighly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environmentAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingAble to work well under pressureStrong attention to detailStrong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)Proven ability to troubleshootAbility to work effectively alone and prioritizeMust be a highly motivated, service and team‑oriented individual with an attention to detailEnthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisitesAble to work all three shifts (Days, Afternoons and Midnights)Overtime as requiredBenefits
