Senior Contaminant Risk Assessor

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Contaminated Sites and Remediation Manager - South Unit, the Senior Contaminant Risk Assessor provides regulatory oversight of contamination management in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities :

• Communicates regulatory expectations to stakeholders.
• Guides the implementation and interpretation of the Contaminated Sites Policy.
• Provide regulatory direction to management of contaminated sites.
• Provide professional advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate the scientific and technical basis for recommendations submitted to the government.
• Supervises and develops junior risk assessors to maintain consistent regulatory direction.
