Location : Various locations across  British Columbia

As aMechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting mechanical systemsand installations to ensure they comply with local codes, regulations, andsafety standards. Your role will be essential in maintaining the safety andoperational efficiency of mechanical systems within the jurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Review mechanical plans and specifications to verify they meet all required regulations and technical requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, elevators, and other mechanical installations at various stages of construction and operation.
  • Identify and document violations, deficiencies, or hazards in mechanical systems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, compliance, and enforcement actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to contractors, engineers, and property owners regarding mechanical codes and safety practices.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints related to mechanical installations and code compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in mechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure accurate inspections and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other municipal departments andagencies to address and resolve mechanical-related issues.
