Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Educator!
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact working in an Early Education Center? We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Early Childhood Educator to support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of toddlers and young children in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You'll work closely with the supervisor and program team to provide project-based learning and developmentally appropriate activities, following the Centre's curriculum and policies as well as provincial legislation.
Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ECE III equivalency.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with toddlers and / or young children.Skills and Characteristics

Services
Develop and implement daily activities based on EELC programming, balancing educator-led and child-directed approaches.Collaborate with team members to adapt programming to the needs of each child.Document observations and assessments for the supervisor.Support children's overall development.Assist in preparing nutritious meals and snacks.Adjust the environment to meet evolving program needs.Follow supervision policies and procedures as outlined in the EELC Parent Handbook.Administer medication according to EELC policies.Complete all reports and documentation accurately and on time.Participate in meetings, workshops, and training as requested.Perform other related duties as assigned.Leadership
Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to new employees, practicum students, and volunteers.Demonstrate positive role modeling and uphold agency values.Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team as needed.Management of Resources
Identify and request necessary resources for activities.Reconcile expenses and manage approved expenditures.Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all facilities and equipment.Safety
Promote and reinforce safe work practices.Comply with all agency and government safety regulations and guidelines.Additional Requirements

Wage range for this position is $21.25 to $27.83 per hour.
