Job Summary
HOOPP’s Balance Sheet Management and Short-Term Strategies team is responsible for the short-term liquidity portfolio of global high quality fixed income securities, while ensuring appropriate liquidity for the overall Plan. This role will be directly involved in supporting the Fund’s portfolio management with the expectation of creating significant value add for the Fund.
What you will do :
Contribute to construction, idea generation and trade execution for the portfolio.
Research, recommend and efficiently execute trading strategies in fixed income credit and derivatives markets across multiple currencies.
Monitor, review and refine our risk reporting and trade processing configuration.
Ensure all trades are processed in a timely manner.
Develop original and innovative research and analysis of our trading markets and opportunities.
Build and develop relationships with external partners with particular focus on new ideas, trends and innovations.
Assist in portfolio bookrunning, performance attribution and building system redundancy to ensure compliance within the Fund guidelines.
Work closely with the repo and collateral team to manage the Plan’s overall liquidity position, and to align the Portfolio to optimize its balance sheet usage for the Plan.
What you will bring :
Completed university undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Finance.
Completion of (or minimally, the enrolment in) the CFA Program.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in institutional fixed income cash and interest rate derivatives trade execution.
Strong understanding of G7 fixed income government spread product markets, and of the process involved with taking and managing risk in a portfolio context.
Familiarity with cross-currency basis, XVA, and portfolio construction concepts.
Relevant financial coding skills in R or Python.
Demonstrated quantitative and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work and think independently and to make decisions under pressure from start to finish with little supervision.-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaboration oriented who works well within a team environment.
A history of demonstrating HOOPP's values and the highest personal integrity.
