Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized Settlement Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in the planning coordination and execution of Settlement Programming for Participants under the Brampton NEXT Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programming activities including support and mentor newcomer Entrepreneurs. They will be responsible for providing scheduled and adhoc supports and services to program participants.
About the Brampton NEXT Program
The Brampton NEXT Program is a cornerstone initiative by BHive aiming to bolster the entrepreneurial landscape of Brampton and the GTA. Participants through this program will be provided comprehensive training mentorship and resources to launch and grow successful businesses. The program focuses on practical skills technology integration financial acumen and sustainable practices all while providing robust support through multiple choices of business streams for participants integration into the Canadian business ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Participant Supports :
Develop and conduct individualized needs assessment for Entrepreneurs and their family members by developing a settlement plan to address housing healthcare education and language training requirements.
Settlement Services
Facilitate connections and referrals to a variety of community services to support integration. These include :
Oneon one coaching group educational sessions and workshops regarding settlement information and relevant services.
Minimum three years of experience in managing settlement services for new immigrants and business entrepreneurs.
Language workshops to help Participants upskill their language proficiency through oneonone or groupbased learning approaches.
Job training programs which will include resume review mock interviews communication strategies with employers and access to a pool of employers.
Facilitation of housing supports for entrepreneurs who are arriving or have arrived.
Settlement Partnerships :
Partner with Experienced Settlement Organizations and Service Providers such as COSTI to leverage information related to key to settlement topics such as employment credential recognition healthcare and finance.
Team Collaboration :
Work with the Immigration Manager to track the arrival of Participants to Canada.
Support the development of a portal of digital marketplace services to access settlement services and network of real estate agents.
Reporting and Monitoring
Execute streamlined processes to report and track client support outcomes.
Ensure program records and CRM systems are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
Maintain processes to monitor goals and outcomes of the settlement services provided.
Respond to ad hoc requests set program quality and performance standards conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges with program implementation.
Support the finance team with tracking and monitoring of the settlement program budget.
Maintain accurate records of program activities mentor and partner engagements and participant progress.
Assist in preparing reports presentations and documentation for clients and their dependents.
