The Limestone District School Board is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, the Limestone District School Board serves more than 20,000 students in 55 schools and 5 education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.

Position Summary Reporting to the Principal, the Designated Early Childhood Educator will partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day kindergarten program within the classroom setting and provide supervision (including yard, hallway and lunch supervision) and age appropriate programming for groups of students as part of the extended day program as required.

The Designated Early Childhood Educator will actively participate in staff meetings and professional learning activities and will participate in extra-curricular activities, on a voluntary basis.

Qualifications & Experience Two year Early Childhood Education diploma and proof of current registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Full-Day Early Learning - Kindergarten Program and related legislation Working knowledge of Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) document Proven ability in working as a member of a team Proven commitment to confidentiality Computer skills and strong organization, communication, and time management skills required Recent experience with Kindergarten age children is preferred.
