Job Summary

Express Scripts Canada seeks an experienced Database Administrator to manage MS SQL Server and Oracle databases within the Production Operations team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust database solutions, oversee implementation and maintenance, and drive best practices in database design and administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead database performance and capacity planning, defining frameworks and standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Software Development, and Business Analysts to ensure successful delivery of multiple initiatives.
• Manage performance issues in custom code released to production.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and maintain testing scripts.
• Evaluate change management requests, including impact analysis and time/cost estimation.
• Support and write scripts (Perl, shell, PL/SQL) for database monitoring and maintenance.
• Define and implement database system architecture across environments.
• Provide off‑hour DB support on rotation as required.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
• 10+ years of DBA experience strongly preferred.
