The impact you will have :

The Design Studio is seeking a Security Principal to expand its IT Strategy Advisory and Security Advisory capabilities. You will manage engagements advising clients at the highest strategic level with big-picture and tactical guidance on how Security technology enables a wide range of business outcomes. Principals are responsible for end-to-end opportunity ownership and working with other Softchoice resources to support deal closures and deliver in complex, cross-practice deals.

This position is for experts with direct experience in Security Consulting Services.

What you’ll do :

As a Principal, you will play a critical role in driving the design, development, and implementation in complex, cross-practice deals regarding Security.

  • Be an active leader, and play a key role in the end-to-end client engagement – deliver technology-enabled solutions of the future. This will involve all business value chain activities from understanding product needs to product development to ongoing maintenance and enhancement.
  • Business Development and Relationship Management : Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders; experience originating deals with C-level clients; lead pursuit teams; participate and lead the proposal development process; contribute to proposal shaping and pricing strategies.
  • Practitioner Development : Perform the role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.
  • Work with Softchoice Enterprise and born in the cloud customers helping them understand their current Security exposure and potential impact
  • Leverage security capabilities within Softchoice and within the Softchoice Partner community to bring the right solutions to the customer.

Finally, be an active learner, identifying new or better ways to deliver impact with people and technology. You will develop a growth mindset and relish opportunities to use familiar and unfamiliar technologies, closed source, and open-source software. You will embrace agile software development practices and contribute to growing and improving our PODS at Softchoice. Through cross-functional collaboration, you will also hone your business and consulting skills through interactions with non-technical colleagues.

What you’ll bring to the table :

Our Principals know their customer industries, business, and how Softchoice can help them drive their digital transformation. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, a principled approach to broad digital transformation challenges and opportunities. They also share a common set of characteristics – such as strong leadership and people skills – and bring the experience that drives innovation and customer value.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in consulting in Cloud Advisory & IT Strategy Services.
  • Strong consulting experience within the different domains that make up Information Management.
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects.
  • Passion for presenting, training, teaching.
  • Understanding and experience of the range of security solutions in the market.
  • Deep understanding of implementing Zero Trust solutions, particularly incorporating the Microsoft platform.
  • Ability to ask customers questions in an empathic way to get the right information about their security posture.
  • Ability to simplify security concepts in a way executives can understand how their security choices impact their business.
