BAS Specialist / BAS Engineer (EIT or P.Eng)

Job Summary

We’re looking for a BAS Specialist to join our growing Nanaimo team. This role involves designing and supporting building automation systems (BAS), from initial design through commissioning, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in project handovers and gather necessary technical information.
• Design panel / network layouts and wiring diagrams using Ainsworth tools.
• Select and order materials per project requirements and deadlines.
• Create commissioning checklists and support system startup and testing.
• Program and test BAS to ensure compliance with specs and performance standards.
• Use and customize Ainsworth / Delta tools and graphics libraries.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients.
• Assist in project close‑out, as‑built documentation, and team collaboration.
• Stay up to date with Delta systems and industry standards.

Qualifications

Salary & Benefits

The annual gross salary range is $60,000 - $90,000. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Ainsworth total compensation package, which includes short‑term incentives, multiple health insurance options, and life insurance.
