Porter Engineered Systems is proudly manufacturing automotive parts for OEM and Tier 1 clients. We are recruiting a Quality Engineer to work at our Windsor, ON plant (6500 Cantelon Dr.).

Responsibilities

• Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
• Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence
• Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• Ensures the company is fully prepared for all IATF 16949 audits
• Liaises with the customer on quality issues and ensures that all required team members are aware of any quality concerns
• Ensures training occurs on all processes and manages the training required for all team members/Departments
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Adheres to 5S philosophy
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in Quality in the Automotive Industry.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
• Ability to develop and implement quality standards and promote continuous improvement.
• Understands PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA and APQP
• Knowledge of G.D.T
• Understand VDA6.3
• Computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel internationally, including US, China, Europe and other countries.
• Mandarin Speaking is an asset.
