The ERP Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, customization, and ongoing support of the company’s ERP system to optimize production, inventory, and operational efficiency in a metal bleacher and stage manufacturing environment. This position combines technical expertise with strong business process understanding to ensure accurate data management, efficient workflows, and seamless integration between departments such as Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Configure, organize, and maintain the ERP system to align with company operations, ensuring seamless integration with other platforms such as CAD, MRP, and accounting systems.
- Create and modify ERP modules, workflows, reports, and scripts to meet the unique needs of production, inventory, purchasing, and business functions.
- Manage, setup and maintain of Bills of Material (BOM), part numbers, and work orders to ensure alignment between engineering design and production execution.
- Identify and resolve ERP-related technical issues, updates, and performance enhancements as needed.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Finance teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support to maximize ERP adoption and data accuracy.
- Safeguard system data by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data security protocols.
- Monitor system usage and performance, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements for workflow automation and reporting.
- Maintain clear and current documentation of system configurations, procedures, and change history.
