Clinical Psychologist | Assertive Community Treatment

We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to consult to the Mental Health (MH) Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams within Interior Health. This position is based out of the Community Health and Services Centre in beautiful and sunny Kelowna, B.C.

This position will be consulting to Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams within the Central Okanagan.

Salary Range:

Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $52.81 to $65.96.

Who are we looking for?

A Clinical Psychologist with experience providing an array of services to a population with diverse and complex mental health presentations. This individual should be able to work well independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

What will you work on?

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services — including assessment, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and behavior management interventions — within your assigned clinical practice area. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, integrating psychological insights into holistic, evidence-based care and contributing to collaborative treatment planning.

In addition to direct client care, you will play a key role in quality improvement, program development, research, and education. This includes training and supervising students or staff, supporting interdisciplinary initiatives, and ensuring best practices are embedded across services. Through these activities, you’ll help shape innovative mental health programs, enhance patient outcomes, and advance the delivery of high-quality psychological care, all while growing your own expertise in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Scheduling Information:

Shift types for this position are days and shift times are from 08;00 to 16:00 hours.

About this location/unit

The ACT Teams are an established way of working with clients who have complex medical, psychiatric and social care needs who may have difficulty accessing community mental health services. ACT staff work very closely with clients and their support systems to promote better functioning and quality of life within the community.
