DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under the direct supervision of the Manager / Chief Operating Engineer of CUP, Engineering and Infrastructure and in regulatory compliance with the Technical Standards & Safety Act 2000 and Ontario Regulation 219 / 01, the Second Class Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and control of TSSA registered First Class Power Plant which includes the Boilers / Steam Generators, 1.6 MW Power Plant, Heat Recovery Systems and Auxiliary Equipment as well as the supervision of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment through the Building Automation System.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Valid Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate from TSSA.

Consideration will be given to current holder of Third-Class Operating Engineer that are working towards obtaining Second Class and close for getting Second Class

Experience with Steam Distribution systems and Condensate collection system, water treatment and water test, Air Compressor, Air Dryers, Air receiver.

Perform PM maintenance and minor repairs in Power House. Accurately record reading of all major utility meters.
