Temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (Multiple Opportunities) We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. These lands are steeped in rich Indigenous history, traditions and modern cultures that are proud and vibrant.RATE OF PAY: $88,014 - $93,592 (10 month salary)REASON FOR VACANCY:Existing vacanciesJOB OVERVIEW: Reporting directly to the Board Lead Psychologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist performs related duties by consulting with school staff, parents, and outside agencies about students with communication difficulties.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, recommend, support and provide some direct programming to meet the needs of students with communication delay or disorder. Monitor student progress to determine on-going appropriateness of speech/language interventions. Provide assessment, discuss results and findings and provide recommendations in a written report to support programming and intervention. Make recommendations to principals regarding school level approaches and practices for speech and language needs. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum post-secondary education completion of a Master in Speech Language, or equivalent and registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing. Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong client and quality service focus. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and demonstrated experience with intervention strategies appropriate for youth with a variety of communicative disorders. Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
