CareTech – Shap Road, Kendal, Cumbria

Contract : Full Time (42 hours per week) – Permanent

Starting Salary : £32,672.64 per annum

We are looking for a Full‑Time Team Leader to join us at Shap Road. The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least an NVQ Level 3 standard. The home has recently been graded as “Outstanding” by CQC.

The role involves supporting a group of young adults with Learning Disabilities or autism spectrum challenges. You will supervise support workers, develop individualized activities, and contribute to innovative outdoor learning provision. Whether you are experienced or new to the sector, we aim to develop your career within a calm, caring, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a large supportive care team working holistically across Care, Education and Therapeutic services, supporting each other’s practice to deliver specialist residential educational services to those with additional and complex needs including Autism & Asperger’s. You will work collaboratively with trained, qualified professionals from across a multidisciplinary team and will be involved in preparing young adults for possible employment and lifelong fulfilment.
