Production Superintendent
Location : Woodbridge, ON
Join a global organization committed to continuous improvement and team development. We are seeking a highly experienced Production Superintendent to lead an amazing production team in the Woodbridge area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in a union environment who is passionate about driving improvements and fostering a collaborative and engaging work culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Lead a team with 5 direct and 40 indirect reports.
- Manage a facility that operates 24 / 7, with a primary shift of 8 : 30 am 4 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday, while being on call as needed.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop, mentor, and engage team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve production issues.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports as needed.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Production Superintendent or similar role, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility and the ability to pivot as needed to meet changing demands.
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
