Personal Trainer Program Leader

We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic individuals to join our team in a part-time, on-call capacity. Please note that this is an on-call position with no guarantee of hours. Hours are scheduled and offered based on available fitness modules and program enrollment.

Location : New Westminster Campus

Salary Range : $35 to $50 per hour / module

Hours : Up to 17.5 hours per week (not to exceed)

The Opportunity : We are seeking a passionate and qualified Personal Trainer Program Facilitator to lead and inspire students through BCRPA-accredited fitness courses. This opportunity is ideal for someone who embraces personal training as a lifestyle and is enthusiastic about educating a diverse range of learners.

The facilitator will be responsible for delivering both in-person and online courses, developing lesson plans, and guiding students through certification processes. The ideal candidate will hold national-level certifications, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and facilitates the following BCRPA Approved modules (in-person / online) : Fitness Theory, Weight Training, Personal Training and other BCRPA speciality modules;
• Facilitate and review modules (in-person / online) that support the BCRPA speciality modules;
• Facilitate and Proctors (in-person / online) : BCRPA exams;
• Facilitate additional and alternate BCRPA renewal modules (in-person / online);
• Develop and implement lesson plans for the Personal Trainer Program and / or any BCRPA modules;
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for participants and staff;
• Adhere and uphold to College policies, procedures and department processes;
• Report incidents and accidents through established policies, procedures and processes in consultation with the Program Coordinator and Manager, Athletics and Recreation Operations
